Christopher Smith
Smith has acted in numerous theatrical productions, including "The One, The Only ... Groucho," a one-man show that he conceived, wrote, directed and starred in. Along with the "First Lady of Improv," Tamara Wilcox-Smith, he founded the National Improvisational Theatre in New York City. In addition to improvisational classes and performances, N.I.T. taught improvisation in the New York City Schools and ran the drama department at the Professional Performing Arts School in Manhattan. Smith also conducted the theater program at Paul Newman's "Hole In The Wall Gang Camp." Smith's television credits include "Jack & Jill," "Chicago Hope," "Whose Line Is It Anyway?", along with many television and radio commercials. As a writer, Smith has written everything from children's stories to articles on comedy to screenplays for film and television. He was the principle writer on the star-studded Disney Channel's "Earth Day at Walt Disney World." Christopher Smith lives and works in Hollywood, California where his son, sixth-grader Barrett Smith, is also an actor. |
